October 30, 2022

To my dear friends,

I am writing this letter to inform you that as of December 30, 2022, I will be leaving my private OB/GYN practice at Magnolia OB/GYN at Baylor University Medical Center.

My decision is very bittersweet, but after 20 years in private practice, I felt it was the right decision to allow more time for my family. My daughter Laney is in her senior year, and my son Thompson is in his freshman year, and I feel I need to spend more time with them in these last years before they move on to college.

I have cherished my relationships with each one of you. Some of you inherited me 20 years ago. Some of you I just met this year. |appreciate your allowing me to take care of you these years, but I also thank you for all you have taught me I have enjoyed taking care of you but mostly learning about you and your families. I do not take this lightly and know that this is the part will miss the most.

I have given my partners plenty of time to find my replacement. They have hired (just how I came into the practice) the top female resident at Baylor, Lindsey Jackson, MD. I feel she will be a very good fit for Magnolia OB/GYN, and I feel very confident if you decide, she will take very good care of you. My partners, Erin Newman, MD, Lauren Wells, MD, and Casey Roth, MD, are also available to continue your care if you decide. During the time I am out and before Dr. Jackson starts (if you decide to go to her), mv nurses are available to answer questions and help in any way.

I am not completely retiring from OBGYN as many of you know, colleges cost a lot of money! In January 2023, I will start Hospitalist shifts in Labor and Delivery at Baylor University Medical Center, our hospital. I will be overseeing the residents in their teaching and taking care of patients who do not have doctors. I will really miss my relationships with my patients but feel need to do this in order to have flexibility and time to spend with my family. I will be continuing my “side job” as medical director of Love Glow Studio/Medical Spa in Dallas. This was a fun side venture that I will be continuing as able. Please come see me there if you can!

Thank you to each one of you for all that you have done for me and allowing me to take care of you! I will see patients until December 30, 2022, so if you are due for your exam, please call now!
